Broadway smash hit Rock of Ages could be coming to the West End sometime next year.
|
This is according to the London Evening Standard, which reports that the producers are looking into the logistics of bringing the show across the pond at present.
A source told the newspaper: "It has done fantastically well in New York so the producers are keen to bring it to London."
Rock of Ages has been labeled "the Mamma Mia! for dudes" and features the ''80s bands Journey, Styx, White Snake and many more.
It has achieved critical acclaim and scooped five Tony Awards in its first year on Broadway.
Anyone who cannot stand the wait for Rock of Ages could treat themselves to theatre tickets for Hair later this year.
The Broadway favourite is to arrive at the Gielgud Theatre later in spring and is also full of nostalgia. However, it is set in the 1960s rather than the ''80s and tells the story of a group of hippies living in New York.
