Book Girl from the North Country Tickets playing at the Noel Coward Theatre London

After rapturous critical acclaim and a sell-out season at THE OLD VIC, GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY now transfers to the West End for a strictly limited season. Award-winning playwright Conor McPherson beautifully weaves the iconic songbook of Bob Dylan into this powerful new show full of hope, heartbreak and soul. Don’t miss the unique opportunity to experience a 'magnificent' (Standard), 'astonishing' (Guardian) and 'piercingly beautiful' (Independent) production brought vividly to life by an exceptional company of actors and musicians.

Duluth, Minnesota. 1934. A community living on a knife-edge huddle together in the local guesthouse.

The owner, Nick, owes more money than he can ever repay, his wife Elizabeth is losing her mind and their daughter Marianne is carrying a child no-one will account for. When a preacher selling bibles and a boxer looking for a comeback show up in the middle of the night, things start to spiral beyond the point of no return...

'An instant classic' - The Times
'Conor McPherson weaves magic with Bob Dylan's songs' - The Observer
'Inspired and piercingly beautiful' - The Independent
'Dylan fans have no choice but to grab tickets' - The Mail on Sunday
'A tribute and a triumph' - Sunday Express
'Magnificent' - Evening Standard
'Astonishing' - The Guardian
'Sublime' - The Metro

2018-03-24 Wonderfully inventive, ensemble piece Outstanding performances and brilliant music
2018-03-24 Beautiful arrangements of Dylan's songs. The melodies come out more clearly than Dylan's own versions. The harmonies are superb. The story is good: lots of different and inter-mingling storylines. All performers can sing, and the band is just right.
2018-03-23 Very nice play, very entertaining and also emotional! Definitely recommend this!
