Birmingham Royal Ballet is back at Sadler's Wells this summer for their first bi-annual visit of the year, this time bringing a new double bill entitled [Un]leashed. The new piece follows in the footsteps of the company's highly successful production of Arcadia last year. Created by choreographer Ruth Bill - the company's first artist, Peter and the Wolf is a contemporary reimagining of the Sergei Prokofiev original and its urban influences will leave you breathless.
Jessica Lang's Lyric Pieces forms the latter half of the double bill and marks the third Ballet Now commission and the show's first London revival. Didy Veldman has created a new work set to a spectacular Gabriel Prokofiev score that is juxtaposed with enormous folding props and stunning music from pianist Edvard Grieg. Don't miss it.
