More about Les Miserables: The Staged Concert

For 16 weeks only, Cameron Mackintosh's production of Boublil and Schönberg's LES MISÉRABLES will star Michael Ball (Javert), Alfie Boe (Jean Valjean), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Fantine) and Matt Lucas (Thénardier) in a spectacular and intimate staging of the legendary concert previously seen in London at the Royal Albert Hall and The O2. Katy Secombe also joins to play Madame Thénardier and for three performances a week, the role of Jean Valjean will be played by John Owen-Jones.

With a cast and orchestra of over 65, the production will run from 10th August - 30th November 2019 at the Gielgud Theatre next door to the current home of LES MISÉRABLES at the Queen's Theatre.

Featuring the songs I Dreamed A DreamBring Him HomeOne Day More and On My Own - this all-star staged concert is not to be missed.

Please note: As an advisory to adults who might bring young people. All persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to the accompanying adult. They may not sit on their own within the auditorium. If children do have separate seats you could be refused entry. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Alfie Boe will no longer be performing in Les Misérables: The All-Star Staged Concert on Friday 1 st & Saturday 2 nd November 2019. John OwenJones will now be performing as Jean Valjean on those dates and Alfie Boe will be performing all five shows earlier in the week, as per the schedule below.

Access description: One 10cm step up into the foyer, through swing doors. Box Office on the right. There is a sofa in the foyer. Handrails on both sides of staircases. All steps are highlighted. Dress Circle up 3 steps (2 steep steps between rows). Ramp available to give level access to front of Dress Circle. 20 steps down to the Stalls and 30 up to the Upper Circle from an entrance on Shaftesbury Avenue to the right of the main foyer entrance. The upper circle also has two steep steps between each row.

Sound Amplification: Sennheiser infra-red system with 15 headsets + 2 which attach tp haring aides – collect your headsets from the cloakroom: name and address required. The best reception is in the front area of all levels of the auditorium. Induction loop at the Box Office.

Guide Dogs: Guide dogs are permitted inside the auditorium. Alternatively, staff are happy to dog-sit for 2 guide dogs per performance.

Disabled Access: Entrance to the auditorium is through the third side EXIT door on Rupert Street. Ask a member of staff to open this for you. One 12cm step up to the front of the Dress Circle. Venue suitable for scooters. B5 + B30 are wheelchair spaces. Companions to be seated in B6 + B29. Seats on the end of row B also act as transfer seats.

Toilets: 16 steps up to the women's and men's from the foyer. There are toilets situated on all levels of the auditorium.
