Lambert Jackson Productions are proud to present a new series of intimate concerts called Sunday Favourites at The Other Palace, featuring exclusive, intimate solo concerts from some of the biggest names in theatre.

Having just finished starring as Effie White in the west end hit, DreamgirlsMarisha Wallace is now starring in the new west end show, Waitress, as Becky. From glittering New York, Wallace has taken her immense talent around the world. On Broadway, Marisha has starred in shows such as Disney’s AladdinThe Book of Mormon and Something Rotten.

Not only does she take on musicals, Marisha has taken on the mainstream music world as well, performing at the Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium, Cadogan Hall and more, with international artists such as Seal, James Blunt and Gregory Porter.

Marisha is set to grace the silver screen in the new live-action version of Disney’s Aladdin, which will be out in theatres in May this year. You will have also seen Marisha on your television screens as a featured vocalist on Strictly Come Dancing and This Morning.

Inspired by the likes of the late, great Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald, Wallace’s voice will pull you from your seat to your feet. Marisha infuses jazz, gospel and R&B styles with a healthy dose of soul music that will leave you feeling inspired and uplifted.

“Marisha Wallace, was a marvel. Her powerful “And I Am Telling You” led to buckets of tears and even a mid-show standing ovation. And Londoners absolutely loathe standing ovations.”
New York Post

“Miss Marisha Wallace will not leave you wanting. She is incandescent throughout this production.”

The Other Palace officially opened its doors in February 2017, and is a home and breeding ground for musicals at various stages of development. The Other Palace focuses on four key areas: programming, creative use of spaces, musical theatre development and audience engagement. The main theatre is the heart of The Other Palace, where the programme consists of full productions, work in progress productions and festivals of new work. By day the studio is available for composers, librettists, lyricists, directors and choreographers to discover and create new material. By night the space builds on the current St. James Studio model to offer a diverse programme including cabaret, music, musical theatre and crossover acts. The theatre features an open mic bar in the hope that it becomes a genuine hub for anyone interested in the musical.
