Gay and straight worlds collide, as unlikely friends James Barr and Dan Hudson plus special guests bring their award winning comedy podcast to Southbank – live!
James (Gay) explores the "admin" behind gay sex, while Dan (NonGay) promotes his campaign for metal music fans to be recognised as a minority. Expect audience interaction, a hilarious parody of ‘QueerEye’ as Dan lends his hetero gaze to the Gay community in ‘NonGay-Eye’ and a laugh out loud look at issues affecting Gay and NonGay people in what Time Out call 'a warm, funny take on love, friendship and sex', and Radio Times called 'one of the most fundamentally kind and funny podcasts in Britain'.‘A Gay and A NonGay’ started when James’ friend moved abroad asking him to look after ‘Dan’, her boyfriend.
The hit podcast brings differences between LGBTQ+ and NonGay people to life on stage, in an absurdly simple but hilarious premise; what divides us makes us laugh harder.
London Wonderground at Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London, SE1 8XX
All shows at London Wonderground take place in our magnificent performance venue, the Paradiso Spiegeltent. Originally built in Belgium in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, these circular, mirrored tents are wonderfully atmospheric and authentic.
The Spiegeltent is fully accessible to wheelchairs with ramped access throughout the site. We would advise patrons with mobility issues to allow extra time to get to the tent and make yourself known to a member of staff upon arrival.
