Anna Bella Eema is in some part a ghost story, fairy tale and coming of age fantasy. From the dark heart of American Gothic, we see a precocious young girl, Annabella, as she learns to coexist with vampires, werewolves and monsters who lurk in the world outside the deserted trailer park where she lives. She’s schooled by her peculiar mother Irene and is desperate to protect their home from demolition by the new highway that threatens the park.
