New Lead Cast Announced For The Phantom Of The Opera

New cast has been announced for Webber’s classic musical The Phantom of the Opera in the West End.

The show is currently available to book until Saturday 30 September 2023.

Over the next months, different performers will take on the leading roles:

From 3 April 2023, Jon Robyns will star in the role of the Phantom, and Earl Carpenter will return in the show from 13 February to 1 April to take over the title role from Killian Donnelly. Carpenter is currently playing in the world premiere of Mandela (Young Vic).

Robyns played in Les Misérables (Sondheim Theatre) and Hamilton (Victoria Palace Theatre), as well as in Memphis, Spamalot and Avenue Q.

Holly-Anne Hull will star in the role of Christine from 23 January 2023, with Paige Blankson planned as the alternate Christine starting from 13 February. Hull also starred in Les Miserables and Old Friends Gala.

The show tells the story of a haunting presence in a Paris opera house, one in which a masked Phantom grows obsessed with a young soprano Christine..

The show is produced by Cameron Mackintosh and The Really Useful Group Ltd, with music composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart and Richard Stilgoe.

The show is based on the novel Le Fantôme de l'Opera by Gaston Leroux, with orchestration signed by David Cullen and Lloyd Webber.

Joining the creative team are: Matt Blaker as Raoul, Kelly Glyptis as Carlotta, Adam Linstead as Monsieur André, Matt Harrop as Monsieur Firmin, Greg Castiglioni as Ubaldo Piangi, Francesca Ellis as Madame Giry, and Ellie Young as Meg Giry.

Completing the cast are: Hollie Aires, Corina Clark, Connor Carson, Michelle Cornelius, Edward Court, Hywel Dowsell, Lily De-La-Haye, Serina Faull, James Gant, Emma Harris, Eilish Harmon-Beglan, Yukina Hasebe, Thomas Holdsworth, Olivia Holland-Rose, Jacob Hughes, Tim Morgan, Grace Hume, James Hume,, Michael Robert-Lowe, Eve Shanu-Wilson, Tim Southgate, Anouk Van Laake, Jasmine Wallis, Ralph Watts, Simon Whitaker, Skye Weiss, Lizzie Wofford and Andrew York.

The Phantom Of The Opera is a timeless, universal and tragic love story and one of the greatest musicals of all time featuring an amazing score with extraordinary scenery and effects!
