Stereophonic Extends West End Run

The critically acclaimed Broadway hit Stereophonic has officially extended its West End run, now playing at the Duke of York’s Theatre until 22 November 2025.

Written by David Adjmi and featuring music by Will Butler (Arcade Fire), Stereophonic takes audiences inside a California recording studio in the 1970s, where a rising rock band navigates creative genius, emotional turmoil, and internal chaos while recording their next big album. Inspired by bands like Fleetwood Mac, the gripping three-act drama explores the fragile balance between fame and fracture.

After its 2023 premiere in New York, Stereophonic became the most Tony-nominated play in Broadway history with 13 nominations, ultimately winning five Tony Awards, including Best Play and Best Director.

The London production features returning cast members Eli Gelb, Andrew R Butler, and Chris Stack, joined by Zachary Hart, Lucy Karczewski, Jack Riddiford, and Nia Towle. Understudies include Sam Denia, Rima Georges, Lucy Gray, and Steve Shirley.

The creative team includes David Zinn (set), Enver Chakartash (costume), Jiyoun Chang (lighting), Ryan Rumery (sound), and Justin Craig (music direction).

Produced in the UK by Sonia Friedman Productions and partners, Stereophonic continues to strike a chord with audiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
