The smash-hit MJ the Musical has announced one last extension at the Prince Edward Theatre in London, with its final performance now confirmed for 28 February 2026.
Featuring over 25 iconic Michael Jackson tracks, the show has proven a West End favourite since opening, winning WhatsOnStage and Olivier Awards for Best Choreography and receiving Best New Musical nominations at both ceremonies.
Jamaal Fields-Green continues to lead the production as Michael Jackson, supported by a principal cast including Matt Mills, Mitchell Zhangazha, Philippa Stefani, KoKo Alexandra, Joshua C Jackson and others. The wider company features a large and dynamic ensemble contributing to the show's signature high-energy staging and intricate dance routines.
MJ is written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage and directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon. The creative team also includes Derek McLane (scenic design), Natasha Katz (lighting), Paul Tazewell (costumes), Gareth Owen (sound), and Peter Nigrini (projections), with wigs and hair by Charles G. LaPointe. Musical supervision comes from David Holcenberg, who also handled orchestrations and arrangements alongside Jason Michael Webb.
Casting is by Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher, with young performer casting by Amy Beadel.
This final extension marks the last chance for London audiences to see the high-octane jukebox musical that celebrates the artistry and legacy of the King of Pop.
