The beloved musical Waitress is heading back on the road in the UK and Ireland next year, with West End favourite Carrie Hope Fletcher leading the cast as Jenna. The tour kicks off at New Wimbledon Theatre on 28 March 2026, then visits over twenty locations including Brighton, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Dublin, Manchester, Cardiff, Belfast and more.
Adapted from the hit film, Waitress follows Jenna, a skilled pie-maker working in a small town, dreaming of a different life while navigating a rocky marriage and unexpected opportunities. The show features music and lyrics by Grammy-nominated Sara Bareilles, and a book by Jessie Nelson.
Direction will be by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus. Audiences will have ample opportunity to catch Waitress with the tour running from March through to October 2026, bringing its mix of heart, humour and sweet nostalgic charm to stages across the UK & Ireland.
Further casting details will be released later, but Fletcher’s attachment as lead is already generating excitement among theatre lovers and fans of the show. With its uplifting themes of friendship, motherhood, and following your dreams (with plenty of pie), Waitress’ return to the road is bound to be one of the highlights of the 2026 musical theatre calendar.
