The West End hit musical The Devil Wears Prada has revealed its new lead cast ahead of the next stage of its run at the Dominion Theatre. From 18 October 2025, Stevie Doc will take on the role of Andy Sachs, the ambitious young assistant navigating the high-pressure world of fashion, while Taila Halford will play Emily Charlton, the formidable senior assistant with a sharp edge and impeccable style. Both performers are stepping into these iconic roles following the departures of Georgie Buckland and Amy Di Bartolomeo.
Stevie Doc, known for her acclaimed performances in & Juliet, brings a fresh interpretation to Andy, portraying the character’s determination, wit, and charm as she learns to survive and thrive in the glamorous but demanding environment of Runway magazine. Taila Halford, celebrated for her work in Six, brings energy, precision, and flair to Emily, a character whose complexity balances humor, ambition, and occasional vulnerability beneath her tough exterior. Fans can expect a dynamic on-stage partnership between the two, capturing the essence of the story that made the film and novel beloved worldwide.
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel and the hit 2006 movie starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, the musical features a sparkling score by Elton John and Shaina Taub, with a book by Kate Wetherhead. Jerry Mitchell’s direction and choreography ensure that the production combines humor, heart, and high fashion, transporting audiences to the competitive and glamorous world of the Runway offices.
The musical has been praised for its striking set design, energetic choreography, and the way it balances the drama and comedy of office politics with memorable songs and relatable characters. With the addition of Stevie Doc and Taila Halford, the show promises to continue delighting London audiences throughout the coming months.
