Sinatra The Musical is set to make its West End debut in 2026, bringing the story of music legend Frank Sinatra to the Aldwych Theatre in London. Performances will begin on Wednesday 3 June 2026, with the official press night taking place on Wednesday 24 June 2026. Tickets are expected to be available for bookings through to Saturday 10 April 2027.
The new production features more than 20 of Sinatra’s most celebrated songs, including That’s Life, Come Fly With Me, One For My Baby and The Best Is Yet To Come. The musical explores the key moments that shaped Sinatra’s life and career, blending his timeless music with an emotional, character-driven story.
Set against the backdrop of 1940s America, the plot begins on New Year’s Eve 1942 as a young, ambitious Sinatra prepares for a breakthrough performance at New York’s Paramount Theatre. As his popularity explodes, he finds himself struggling to balance private life and public fame. The show charts his rise to becoming the most talked-about singer in America, while also exploring the personal pressures that came with success. Central to the storyline is the strain on his marriage to Nancy Sinatra and the powerful impact of his relationship with Hollywood star Ava Gardner, which contributes to a dramatic downturn in his career and reputation.
Tina Sinatra has spoken about how her father’s music was deeply personal, describing it as an emotional record of his life. She believes the stage production offers audiences an intimate view of Sinatra beyond the headlines, filled with humour, passion and powerful music.
Sinatra The Musical is written by Tony Award-winning Joe DiPietro and directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. The production originally played to sold-out audiences at Birmingham Rep in 2023, and casting for the London run will be announced at a later date.
