Amber Davies To Star In Legally Blonde West End Transfer

Amber Davies will reprise her role as Elle Woods when Legally Blonde the Musical transfers to the West End in spring 2027.

The ROYO and Curve production will play a limited season at the London Coliseum from 22 March to 22 May 2027, following its current UK tour. The London engagement gives West End audiences another opportunity to experience the hugely popular musical based on Amanda Brown’s novel and the hit 2001 film.

Davies is currently playing Elle Woods on the UK tour of Legally Blonde the Musical, which continues until 2 January 2027. Remaining destinations include Sunderland Empire, Theatre Royal Brighton and Edinburgh Playhouse.

Her appearance in Legally Blonde will mark a return to the London Coliseum, where she previously played Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby. Davies has also appeared in the UK tour of Pretty Woman, Back to the Future the Musical in the West End and both the West End and touring productions of 9 to 5 the Musical.

Alongside her growing theatre career, Davies is known for winning Love Island and reaching the final of Strictly Come Dancing.

The performer taking on the role of Elle Woods at selected performances during the London run has not yet been announced. Hannah Lowther currently serves as the alternate Elle during the UK tour.

Legally Blonde follows determined sorority president Elle Woods as she exchanges California for Harvard Law School. Initially driven by her desire to win back her former boyfriend, Elle soon discovers her own abilities and proves that intelligence, ambition and personal style can be a powerful combination.

The musical features music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, with a book by Heather Hach. Its energetic score includes audience favourites such as Omigod You Guys, So Much Better and Bend and Snap.

Curve Artistic Director Nikolai Foster directs the production, with choreography by Leah Hill. The creative team also includes musical supervisor and arranger Matt Spencer-Smith, set designer Colin Richmond, costume designer Tom Rogers, lighting designer Ben Cracknell and sound designer Adam Fisher.

Casting is by Harry Blumenau, with additional casting by Jim Carnahan. Further cast members and details about the London production are expected to be revealed ahead of the transfer.

Legally Blonde the Musical will run at the London Coliseum from 22 March to 22 May 2027.
