Lee Mead will celebrate 20 years since his appearance in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat with a special anniversary concert at London’s Adelphi Theatre. Returning to the venue where he performed the musical, the singer and actor will present Twenty Years in Technicolour on Sunday 11 July 2027.
Two performances are scheduled, at 2pm and 7pm, giving audiences a choice of an afternoon or evening celebration. The concert will bring together musical theatre favourites and songs by artists spanning several generations, with Mead accompanied by a live band and joined by surprise guests.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat will feature in the programme, providing a connection between the anniversary and the setting. For fans who remember Mead’s time in the production, his return to the Adelphi offers an opportunity to revisit that chapter of his career through a new live performance.
The announced setlist also includes music from We Will Rock You, The Phantom of the Opera, Sister Act and Barnum. Together, these shows offer a varied selection, from rock anthems and sweeping musical theatre numbers to songs associated with comedy, spectacle and celebration.
Beyond the stage repertoire, Mead will perform songs by George Michael, Tony Bennett and Bruno Mars. Those choices promise a programme that moves between pop and classic vocal material, broadening the concert’s appeal beyond musical theatre alone. The identities of the surprise guests have yet to be revealed, adding another element of anticipation to the two performances.
Twenty Years in Technicolour is presented by DEM Productions in association with Westway Music. The announcement also coincides with the release of Mead’s autobiography, Lee Mead – The Colours of My Life, which is published in October 2026.
With just two performances announced, the event will mark his Joseph milestone at the West End theatre closely associated with it.
