More about Saving Mozart

Saving Mozart is a bold new musical that reimagines the life of one of history’s most celebrated composers through the eyes of those who truly knew him. This electrifying production explores the untold story of Mozart not as a legend, but as a flawed, brilliant, and deeply human soul, shaped by the powerful women and complex relationships that defined his world.

From Nannerl, the sister whose talent lit the way, to Leopold, the father who demanded greatness, and Constanze, the wife who fought to preserve his legacy, Saving Mozart is a stirring portrait of genius, rebellion, and the music that refused to die. Fueled by raw emotion and unforgettable melodies, this is Mozart as you’ve never seen him before - intimate, unfiltered, and profoundly alive.

The Other Palace officially opened its doors in February 2017, and is a home and breeding ground for musicals at various stages of development. The Other Palace focuses on four key areas: programming, creative use of spaces, musical theatre development and audience engagement. The main theatre is the heart of The Other Palace, where the programme consists of full productions, work in progress productions and festivals of new work. By day the studio is available for composers, librettists, lyricists, directors and choreographers to discover and create new material. By night the space builds on the current St. James Studio model to offer a diverse programme including cabaret, music, musical theatre and crossover acts. The theatre features an open mic bar in the hope that it becomes a genuine hub for anyone interested in the musical.
