More about Why I Stuck A Flare Up My Arse For England

The play follows the true story of Billy Kinley, a die-hard football fan whose life changes forever after a shocking moment at Euro 2020 sends him viral. In an impulsive act that captures headlines around the world, Billy sticks a flare up his bum, and instantly becomes a global internet sensation.

What follows is a funny, fearless, and disarmingly honest exploration of modern masculinity, identity, loyalty, and belonging, set against the charged backdrop of football culture and viral fame. As laughter gives way to something deeper, the show asks what it really means to be seen and whether notoriety can ever feel like connection.
