Using iconic performance footage, rarely heard interviews and never-before-seen material selected from thousands of hours of film in the vaults of the David Bowie Archive in New York, from Space Oddity through Diamond Dogs and “Heroes” to ?, David Bowie: You're Not Alone is a celebration of Bowie’s boundless curiosity as a force that connected people across continents and generations, as well as his enduring cultural impact today.
Lightroom’s fully projected 11-metre-high walls and vast open floor become the canvas for a truly one-of-a-kind presentation. Bringing together a wealth of visual material from a wide range of sources, the show combines rare performance footage, photography, drawings, lyrics, personal notes and sketches to craft the most vivid, detailed and immersive exploration yet of Bowie’s worlds. Structured in thematic chapters within a looping presentation, the show offers insight into Bowie’s perspective on the subjects most important to him, including theatricality, spirituality, songwriting and the transformative power of creativity.
Featuring Bowie as its sole voice, the narrative is composed from hundreds of interviews spanning a five-decade career at the cutting edge of art and culture, inviting you into his way of thinking like never before.

Lightroom is located in King’s Cross on Lewis Cubitt Square, adjacent to Coal Drops Yard and Central St Martin’s. The innovative showspace was designed by 59 Productions in close collaboration with Haworth Tompkins, who have designed the venue as a sister space to the award-winning Bridge Theatre. Along with a generous Foyer and gift shop, the space also contains a bar and seating area in collaboration with St John.
Lightroom is a joint venture between 59 Productions and London Theatre Company. Lightroom’s CEO is Richard Slaney and its executive chair is Nick Starr, co-founder of London Theatre Company. Lightroom is backed by a group of investors led by Sir Leonard Blavatnik who is represented by Danny Cohen, President of Access Entertainment; and Mike Sherwood, former co-CEO of Goldman Sachs International.
