Award-winning performer Leslie Odom Jr will appear in the West End production of Hamilton, marking his first performance in London’s West End. The acclaimed actor and singer will reprise the role of Aaron Burr for a limited engagement at the Victoria Palace Theatre from 3 July to 5 September 2026.
Odom originally played Aaron Burr in the Broadway production of Hamilton, where his performance received widespread praise and earned him the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. His portrayal of the ambitious political rival and narrator of the story became one of the most memorable elements of the musical’s success. His return to the role in London will give audiences the rare opportunity to see one of the original stars of the show perform in the West End.
Hamilton, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, tells the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton through a mix of hip-hop, R&B and traditional musical theatre. Since its debut, the musical has become a global phenomenon, winning numerous awards and attracting audiences around the world.
The West End production opened at the Victoria Palace Theatre in 2017 and has remained one of London’s most popular long-running musicals. Known for its energetic performances and powerful storytelling, the show continues to draw theatre fans from across the UK and beyond.
Aaron Burr plays a central role in the story as both narrator and political rival to Alexander Hamilton. The character features in some of the musical’s best-known songs, making the role one of the most significant in the production.
