The spectacularly successful hit Broadway musical made its off-Broadway debut at The Public Theatre in February 2015 and quickly sold out. Hamilton later transferred to Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre in August 2015, opening to rave reviews and enthusiastic critical acclaim.
Hamilton on Broadway has won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The off-Broadway production received 14 nominations while the Broadway production has been nominated for an all-time record-setting 16 Tony Awards. The West End transfer of Hamilton is noted for winning seven Olivier Awards in 2018, including the award for Best New Musical.

Access description: One 3cm step up through swing doors into the Box Office. Box Office counter on left. Staircases have handrails on both sides and steps are highlighted. 4 steps down from foyer to Stalls, 28 to back of Dress Circle (with 2 steps between rows). Access to the Grand Circle is not suitable for patrons with walking difficulties. Theatre generally open 45 mins before performance.
Sound Amplification: Infra-red system with headsets in the Stalls. Please book in advance – deposit required.
Guide Dogs: Guide dogs are permitted in the auditorium or staff can dog-sit by prior arrangement. Dogs will be looked after in the manager’s office.
Disabled Access: Entrance is through the second EXIT door on Allington Street (to the left of the theatre) – wheelchair users can go to the large foyer bar next to the main entrance and can then be escorted to the alternative entrance. No steps to back of Stalls. 2 spaces for wheelchair users at P36 and M36 with seating for companions in the same row. Transfer seating available to any aisle seat in the stalls, and the theatre can store a maximum of 4 wheelchairs per performance. The theatre is licensed for 6 wheelchairs (4 transferring, 2 remaining in chair).
Toilets: Non-adapted toilets on all levels.
